So one of the most things to consider when life gets difficult is that you should adopt a mindset that life has to be difficult and when it is it provides a learning opportunity and it automatically helps you become a better person so when ever life gets hard  appreciate the difficulty, and understand that the more you go through a hard life more equipped you'll be in the area of problem solving and reasoning and as The famous TopG always says "there is no light without dark"
So here are several key factors that'll help in you when life gets hard
